7 reasons Kerala belongs on your 2026 list
Backwaters, Ayurveda and hill-station tea trails — here's why God's Own Country still steals hearts, and how to see the best of it in a week.

A first honeymoon to Bali deserves more than a hopscotch through Instagram spots. Here's the slow-travel plan our advisors quietly recommend to friends.
Days 1–3: Ubud, in a jungle villa. Skip Kuta. The artistic heart of Bali is Ubud, and a villa carved into the jungle — private pool, breakfast in your sarong — sets the tone for the trip. The Tegalalang rice terraces, the Sacred Monkey Forest and an evening of Legong dance fill the days at a leisurely pace.
Day 4: The drive south. Bali has dramatic clifftop temples on its way to the beach side — Tanah Lot is a must, ideally for sunset. By evening you're in Seminyak or Uluwatu.
Day 5: Nusa Penida day trip. A fast boat from the south takes you to Nusa Penida — Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach and crystal-clear snorkelling. Go with a private driver; the public viewpoints get crowded.
Day 6: Uluwatu sunset. End at Uluwatu temple as the sun drops, with the famous Kecak fire dance. There is no more romantic last evening in Bali.
Practical tips: book the villa first, the rest second. Avoid the Kuta/Legian area unless you specifically want nightlife. And bring a light wrap — Ubud nights can be cool.
