The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is the ultimate pilgrimage — to the sacred Mt Kailash, believed to be Lord Shiva's earthly abode, and the holy Manasarovar lake.

Our Kathmandu-Lhasa route handles permits, oxygen and high-altitude acclimatisation. The full Kailash parikrama is supported with porters and yaks where needed.

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu

Briefing and document preparation.

Day 2

Kathmandu to Lhasa

Fly to Lhasa for high-altitude acclimatisation.

Day 3

Lhasa sightseeing

Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and the markets.

Day 4

Lhasa to Shigatse

Drive through scenic Tibet.

Day 5

Shigatse to Saga

Continue toward the Kailash region.

Day 6

Saga to Manasarovar

Reach the holy lake; sacred bath and pooja.

Day 7

Manasarovar to Darchen

Drive to Darchen, base for parikrama.

Day 8

Parikrama Day 1

Trek Darchen to Dirapuk.

Day 9

Parikrama Day 2

Cross the high Dolma La pass to Zuthulpuk.

Day 10

Parikrama Day 3

Complete the parikrama back to Darchen.

Day 11

Darchen to Saga

Begin the return drive.

Saga to Shigatse

Continue back.

Shigatse to Lhasa

Reach Lhasa.

How fit do I need to be? +
Reasonably fit. The parikrama crosses 5,600 m at Dolma La. A medical clearance and pre-departure briefing are mandatory.
Indian Government or private route? +
We operate the private Kathmandu–Lhasa route, which is generally more flexible than the government-managed Lipulekh route.
How are altitude issues handled? +
Acclimatisation days are built in, oxygen is carried, and trained staff monitor health throughout.
