Guwahati to Shillong — Transfer
Approx 100 km, 3 hrs. On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, transfer to Shillong, the "Scotland of the East". En route visit the placid Umium Lake (Barapani) with optional water sports. Evening free to visit Police Bazaar, the biggest local market. Overnight in Shillong.
Shillong to Jowai — Excursion
Approx 110 km, 4 hrs. Full-day excursion to Jowai, headquarters of the Jaintia Hills. Visit Krang Suri — one of India's most magical waterfalls — then Tryshi Waterfalls with panoramic views of Pynthor Nein. Stop at Thadlaskein Lake for boating, then the Nartiang Monoliths and the 500-year-old Durga temple. Overnight in Shillong.
Shillong to Cherrapunjee — Excursion
Approx 60 km, 2 hrs. Full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft), one of the wettest places on earth. En route see Elephanta Falls, Mawdok–Dympep Valley Viewpoint and the Garden of Caves. Witness Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang (Seven Sisters) Falls and the limestone Mawsmai Caves. Overnight in Shillong.
Shillong Local Sightseeing with Laitlum
Visit Don Bosco Museum (closed Sundays), Ward's Lake, the Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park. Later proceed to Laitlum Canyons for breathtaking views. Evening free. Overnight in Shillong.
Shillong to Guwahati via Kamakhya
Approx 100 km, 3 hrs. After breakfast drive to Guwahati, visiting Kamakhya Temple en route (subject to departure timing). Drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station.
